The only time I remember them admitting how creepy it was might have been during Labyrinth, but the episode was overall pretty creepy. Sometimes I think the writers are pretty loopy about things like this and don't even realize the difference between romance and stalking.
But then again, I guess it just bears out how Clark behaves in ways he wouldn't permit in others - even at this early point. That's really kind of disturbing. I can't fault him too much for it at that age, because it's clearly from his experience with Jonathan "Do as I say, not as I do" Kent and the influence of the small town, but still. I'd have liked to see him grow out of that.
