old_school_clexi NEED to find a fic i lost.
Lex has a stutter and Clark has never spoken...but Lex's stutter disappears when they're together, and Clark talks for the first time in his life, and it's just so... PRECIOUS...and i FORGOT TO BOOKMARK IT!!! *bangs self in head*
oh, and it was based on the song "Stuttering" by Ben's Brother, and i LOVE the song now, and i need to thank the author for that too!

Date: 2008-01-22 08:35 am (UTC)i especially loved that with evidence like the talking, Jonathan and Martha simply CANNOT argue that they're good for each other (like duh!)...and of course will WANT Lex around as much as possible so Clark'll talk. Not to mention that it's an idea i had before too, though you handled it quite a bit differently than i did. I like your take. But seriously; a stutter is SO something Lex would have, being raised by that hellfiend. I'm surprised he doesn't have one, though he probably got rid of it by like, sheer force of will. I could totally see it being a canon thing; he had a stutter and was maybe even a bedwetter as a tot, and that just made Lionel more disgusted with him, which in turn fed the stuttering and etc and made it worse, and... LOL, in one of my fics, the one i'm posting now where the Old Bastard dies in the meteor shower before he can inflict more damage, Lex actually is born with a tiny harelip (hence the scar), and has had high-priced plastic surgery, but his stutter only disappears when he spends years living under the Kents' influence. At first he literally quails around all men, including Jonathan, who works hard to earn his trust and help him through all this.
Okay, i'm seriously rambling, but it was just SO great to know someone else was on this track with our Lex, and i LOVED it!!!

And yeah, I think that a stutter is something not unbelievable for Lex to have had. Poor love.
